Professionals we work with

Collaborative mahi with professionals

We work with a variety of legal professionals to provide communication assistance across diverse justice contexts.

We also can ensure that individuals with communication needs can:

  • Use strategies to engage a client and assist with fatigue, stress and anxiety
  • Help your client to understand documents, processes, charges, summary of facts, evidence
  • Work collaboratively to explain tricky concepts and points of law, gaining complete client instructions (at every step)
  • Ensure clients understand all written documents and can gain an accurate reply
  • Prepare the sequence and structure of questions to gain complete and coherent evidence
  • Explain outcomes (including things like bail conditions etc) to ensure procedures are understood and followed.

Inclusive communication

Any witness, defendant, or civil party whose ability to communicate is impaired or who has a communication disability affecting their ability to give evidence or participate in a trial is entitled to receive communication assistance under s80 Evidence Act 2006.

Beyond the justice system, we also work with:
